P2012 SENTINEL SMP: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
Turboprop Capabilities with Twin Piston Efficiency
The TECNAM P2012 Sentinel has everything you could ever need in a Special Mission Platform, and much more. It combines higher-class capabilities and payload with best in class mission efficiency and safety. With low acquisition and operating costs, this twin piston design is accompanied by state of the art avionics, thus supporting and enhancing mission accomplishment, without compromises on any front. The aircraft systems are always and autonomously operative. Several safety provisions allow the mission systems to never draw energy from the standard aircraft system, also in case of OEI operations. The P2012 Sentinel SMP is the ultimate TECNAM Special Mission Platform aircraft.
The right sensor for your mission
The P2012 Sentinel is a rugged, all weather, single pilot, PBN capable, twin-engine special mission aircraft. Fixed gear durability and all weather certifications means you can get your mission accomplished under any condition. Whether you need Radar, IFF, ESM/SPS, Electro Optics / Infra Red, LiDAR cameras, communication suite, Data Link, SATCOM, Automatic Identification System or SAR Direction Finder: The P2012 Sentinel can provide any (or all) the sensors required to accomplish the mission. For Anti-piracy, Counter Terrorism, Border Surveillance, EEZ Control, Fishery Control, Illegal Immigration, Illegal Traffic, Anti-Pollution, Search and Rescue: CS/FAR 25 like operations at a fraction of their acquisition and operating costs.
One of the main advantages of the P2012 is the option to operate in single-pilot mode with a class rating (no type rating required). The Single Pilot Advanced Cockpit Environment design is optimized to reduce the pilot’s workload and enhance single-pilot performances during operations. The engines are fully electronically controlled, fuel injected and provided with several features to preserve its components in addition to saving fuel.
Designed for the special mission
High payload with up to 1414 kg useful load, high cabin volume up to 8,9 m³, high endurance up to 9 hours, high range up to 850 NM, high 3360 watt ( 120 Amp @ 28VDC ) mission power, bringing new capabilities with unrivalled efficiency. Install any equipment: L3 HARRIS™ Wescam MX™ – series Electro Optical Sensors optimized and capability of accommodating (in addition to one Wescam MX-10, MX-15 or MX-20 turret) other mission sensors such as a SAR Radar. Two 735x567mm (28.9×22.3in) hatches embedded on fuselage belly with frames capable of withstanding mission equipment mass up to 130kg/285lb accommodating the majority of sensors available worldwide. Twin-engine, high-wing configuration guarantees the hatches to be always free from exhaust, so the risk of carbon monoxide will never be an issue both for crew (one or two pilots and up to 5 mission operators) and for installed mission equipment.
